This year’s Director of Public Health report explores what is known about growing up and the health needs of children in Norfolk. The report considers the health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 5-19 years, a critical stage in life, when children learn, develop and prepare for adulthood. Good health for children and young people is central to their wellbeing and forms the bedrock for good health in later life and adolescence is a time when risk taking behaviours begin and life-long health behaviours are set in place.
